Services Offered: The primary mission of the Foundation is to advocate and provide funding for the unmet health care needs of medically fragile children. These children are medically stable yet require skilled nursing services, physical, speech and occupational therapy and specialized equipment to enhance or sustain their lives. They range in age from birth to eighteen years and suffer from Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Spina Bifida, cancer, heart and lung disease, developmental delays and any number of other conditions that threaten their ability to survive without proper medical care. Services Offered: This is a special nutrition program for low-income pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women and children up to age five. Participants who are eligible receive vouchers to redeem at approved grocery stores and pharmacies for special foods rich in protein, iron, calcium and vitamins A and C. Georgia has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the nation. Good nutrition and regular prenatal care during pregnancy, and good nutrition and preventive health care for infants are keys to prevent babies from dying or becoming disabled. The following requirements must be met:

*Be a resident of Georgia or migrant farm worker currently living in Georgia.
*Be at nutritional risk such as anemic, low birth weight, abnormal weight gain during pregnancy, high risk pregnancy, or inadequate diet.
*Have a family income of no more than 185 percent of the federal poverty level.
*A person receiving Medicaid, TANF, or Food Stamps automatically meets the income eligibility requirements.
