Services Offered: Non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support. groceries are sold in units of a medium-sized box at $25 each. Each month's menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $50. Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality one would purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe. there is no limit to the number of units an individual can purchase, and there are no applications to complete or qualifications to which participants must adhere. Angel Food Ministries participates in the U.S. Food Stamp program. |

Services Offered: Referrals are taken from local law enforcement agencies, Department of Family and Children Services, County Health Departments, and other Human Services related organizations. Each food box contains items such as cereal, canned goods, soups and other types of food products that we have in our inventory. Each box packed contains the same amount and same type product with the total pounds being received per family per visit being approximately 75 pounds. All families are required to complete an application showing principal address, number in household and ages, proof of income, proof of residence, and identification, eg. Social Security Card, Drivers License, Medicaid Card, etc. This information is required for every member in household. Infant Crisis Program--families with infants and small children receive the necessary supplies they need to care for their children. |

Services Offered: This is a special nutrition program for low-income pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women and children up to age five. Participants who are eligible receive vouchers to redeem at approved grocery stores and pharmacies for special foods rich in protein, iron, calcium and vitamins A and C. Georgia has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the nation. Good nutrition and regular prenatal care during pregnancy, and good nutrition and preventive health care for infants are keys to prevent babies from dying or becoming disabled.
