Services Offered: The Coweta Performance Learning Center (PLC) provides an opportunity for students who are not successful in their traditional high school settings to attend a unique educational environment dedicated to helping them catch up to their classmates and graduate with them. There are a limited number of students accepted into this program.

Services Offered: Provides supervision, detention and a wide range of treatment and educational services for youths referred to the Department by the Juvenile Courts, and provides assistance or delinquency prevention services for at-risk youths through collaborative efforts with other public, private and community entities.

Services Offered: Referrals are taken from local law enforcement agencies, Department of Family and Children Services, County Health Departments, and other Human Services related organizations. Each food box contains items such as cereal, canned goods, soups and other types of food products that we have in our inventory. Each box packed contains the same amount and same type product with the total pounds being received per family per visit being approximately 75 pounds. All families are required to complete an application showing principal address, number in household and ages, proof of income, proof of residence, and identification, eg. Social Security Card, Drivers License, Medicaid Card, etc. This information is required for every member in household. Infant Crisis Program--families with infants and small children receive the necessary supplies they need to care for their children.

Services Offered: Program developed to help girls build strong characters and develop skills for social responsibility and leadership. Includes mentoring, life skills workshops, arts and crafts, community service projects, recreational and educational field trips, after school and summer programs. Meetings held weekly at Binion court for girls aged 10 and up.

Services Offered: Parent organization has several programs including Good Shepherd Riding Academy, a center for equine assisted therapy, Able House, a long term residential facility for boys aged 10 to 17, Meriwether House, a short term assessment center, an independent living program, outdoor experiential learning program, and animal assisted therapy programs.

Faith based ministry that serves as an umbrella for a variety of residential and out-patient programs designed to create the healing container that is possible when humans, animals and nature live and work together as one. GSTC provides a safe and growing environment for abused, neglected and otherwise at risk adolescent boys while also improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities that visit and all living creatures that call GSTC home.

Services Offered: Pathways Center for Behavioral and Developmental Growth is a human service agency operating multiple facilities throughout Carroll, Coweta, Heard, Meriwether and Troup counties. Pathways is the designated community agency responsible for providing services to citizens challenged with mental health, mental retardation or substance abuse issues.

Services Offered: Provides low-cost/no cost hippotherapy for students with a variety of physical and mental disabilities, including blindness, autism, spina bifida and Down syndrome.

Services Offered: Offers day support, day hab, supported employment, and facility employment.

Services Offered: Assistance with food, clothing, household items and financial assistance.

Services Offered: Eye care services at no charge to qualifying students. Includes an eye exam and glasses if needed. Referrals made through school nurse or teacher in home school.

Services Offered: Assists youth aged 14-21 years old in obtaining summer jobs in local community. Jobs are within the public and private sector. Names and numbers are currently being accepted, applications will be accepted in early May 2005.

Services Offered: Teen Work is a DFCS program set up to provide summer employment for Georgia teens in foster care. It will introduce teens to the world of work and to teach them marketable skills. The program will mentor teens in foster care as they enter some of their first summer jobs, supporting a positive experience for both the employee and the employer. Services Offered: West Central serves both high school and adult students in credit and non-credit programs. The TechSTART calendar mirrors the high school schedule and is geared toward 16-18 year-old students who are dually-enrolled in both high school and technical college courses. Adult students can enroll in TechSTART programs on a space-available basis. In addition, technical college courses are offered on the traditional quarter schedule both day and evenings.
