Services Offered: Al-Anon is a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope, in order to solve their common problems. We believe alcoholism is a family illness, and that changed attitudes can aid recovery. There are no dues for membership. Meetings are held locally at the Cornerstone United Methodist Church on Tuesdays at 8 pm.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership. Services Offered: ACS is dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy and service. It provides assistance to individuals with diagnosed cancer whose physician approves treatment and service. Services include assistance with transportation to treatment and purchase of pain medication and supplies for cancer patients. Educational materials are available. Relay for Life is an annual fund raising event to raise money for services provided to and raise the awareness of the work of ACS.

Services Offered: CrossPoint Health Care, Inc. conducts a bereavement support group on the third Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m., at the Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Newnan. This group is open to individuals of all ages who have lost loved ones, regardless of whether they were under the care of CrossPoint Health Care.

Services Offered: Services include outpatient counseling, addiction treatment, inpatient and day treatment, support groups and educational programs. Additional services including assessment, education, brief counseling, intensive outpatient and partial hospital programs. Also provides inpatient care for serious dual diagnosis and those requiring medically managed detoxification.

Services Offered: Provides temporary housing for battered, homeless women with children (except males over 12). Must have referral from local agency or hospital for admission. Also has support groups, children's programs, counseling, parenting classes, referrals for clothing, food and housing.

Services Offered: For expectant teens and young women needing out of home care during their pregnancy through age 24.The expectant mothers are provided with an excellent program that offers opportunities to continue their education, learn parental skills, develop social skills and participate in spiritual development and private therapy. Clients attend classes in decision making, childbirth, infant care and anger management. Local doctors and hospitals provide professional prenatal and postnatal care.

Services Offered: Share Group on Southside meets 4th Thursday each month at 7pm, childcare available by reservation. Offers emotional, informational and physical support to families with children with disabilities or ongoing medical needs.  Summer camp also available. 

Services Offered: Provides a centralized resource for foster and adoptive parents to help them locate the help they needed to be successful in meeting the needs of their foster or adopted children. Has regional advisors, a lending library, access to local support groups, referrals for local resources.

Services Offered: The goal of the Georgia Parent Mentor Program is to nurture communication among parents and educators, ultimately leading to greater success for students with disabilities. Parent mentors are moms and dads of one or more children with special learning and/or physical needs. They work within the school system by trying to build bridges between home and school. The parent initiative is spearheaded by the Department of Education’s Division for Exceptional Students.

Services Offered: ICM – City of Hope, a twelve-month residential, Christ- centered program for adult males with chemical addictions opened in 2005. Trade skills and work skills will be taught and used in conjunction with classes on the physical, emotional, and spiritual repercussions of chemical addiction. We work with the families of men in the program so the family also heals from the ravages of addiction. Weekly support groups for men and women in addiction and their adult family members are currently held. Call for more information.

Services offered range from comprehensive evaluation and diagnostic services to behavioral therapy, family counseling and long-term follow-up.

Services Offered: NA is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We meet regularly to help each other stay clean. We are not interested in what or how much you used but only in what you want to do about your problem and how we can help. Located in Warm Springs, Georgia on a beautiful and serene 940-acre campus, the Institute provides a wide range of medical, psychological and vocational rehabilitation programs and services for many types of disabilities.

Services Offered: Safe Place for Newborns exists to prevent the abandonment of newborn children, thus helping to preserve the health and future of their mothers. Safe Place for Newborns provides an alternative to a mother who might otherwise abandon her newborn. You can leave your baby, up to 7 days old, with a hospital employee at any hospital emergency room, or with any law enforcement agency in Georgia - no questions asked.

Services Offered: Through research, education, and training, the RCI promotes the mental health and well-being of individuals, families, and professional caregivers; promulgates effective caregiving practices; builds public awareness of caregiving needs; and advances public and social policies that enhance caring communities. These goals are met by forming partnerships with professionals, groups, and individuals to deliver education and training programs, research and program evaluation around care needs, and policy and advocacy efforts that promote healthy individual development and increase community caregiving capacity. Unique to the Institute are its focus on generic caregiving that pertains to all caregivers across various illnesses and disabilities; incorporation of both lay and professional points of view; and collaboration among front line caregivers, academicians, and students to improve the caregiving process.

Services Offered: Crisis line, partial hospitalization program for children aged 5 to 17 and adults-provides treatment in psychiatric, substance abuse, and dual diagnosis (psychiatric and substance abuse issues) care for patients in an outpatient setting; free psychiatric, physician-supervised assessment is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with appropriate treatment referrals; 14-bed acute psychiatric inpatient unit for adults who are experiencing severe psychiatric disorders; intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment program for 18 years and older; TIP program treats sexually offending boys between the ages of 12 and 17 treatment is offered to boys whose sexual inappropriate behaviors allow them to remain living in the community, but whose behaviors are severe enough that treatment weekly in individual or group sessions is not effective.

Services Offered: The mission of W. O. E. is to provide temporary housing for formerly incarcerated women and their children upon release. W.O.E. will provide women with the tools needed to address the issues that led to their incarceration. This re-entry program will provide substance abuse treatment service, childcare services, budget and financial management, life skills, vocational and educational services, counseling service and appropriate referrals when needed.
